If you own a vehicle 1995 or older that is has been registered for at least the last 6 months and is still in running condition, you are eligible to participate in the Retire Your Ride program that rewards you for recycling your older, higher emission producing vehicles.

These older vehicles can produce 19 times more smog-forming pollutants than models produced after 2003! In fact, these vehicles make up one quarter of vehicles driven by Canadians and generate as much as half of the smog-forming pollutants caused by personal vehicle use.

Retire Your Ride is an initiative of The Government of Canada, Clean Air Foundation and its partners, designed to enable people to get their high-polluting cars off the road and reward them for doing so. The Manitoba Lung Association operates this program in our province.
