About Walk to School
Walking to school is a fantastic way for kids to get exercise, learn about their neighbourhood, interact with peers, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. All without costing a penny!
Walking School Buses and Walk to School events are helping parents, caregivers and teachers show kids that physical activity makes sense, is fun, and that gridlocked traffic and exhaust fumes don't have to be a part of every child's day. Plus, meeting their neighbours and getting a chance to interact with their surroundings gives a child a strong sense of place and relationship to their community.
The Active and Safe Routes to School Program of Resource Conservation Manitoba is working to help parents and teachers make walking to school a safe and viable option for kids. Click here to learn more!
