About Recycling

Recycling programs are wonderful ways for schools to practice their committment to waste reduction and resource conservation.  Recycling paper, plastic, and metal waste keeps these materials out of the landfills and reduces overall waste produced by the school, saving energy and resources.

Schools around Manitoba have a wide variety of recycling program types.  There is no one way to do it.  Usually the programs depend on the type of recycling facilities available in the community, and often depend on the capacity of the school to organize and maintain a program.  There are plenty of resources and information to help your school implement a recycling program that works.  Please contact us for more information on what you can do to start or maintain a program at your school, or how to find out about other programs and projects!
