Groups and Issues

Joining with Others

Some changes involve things we can do ourselves -- in our personal lives, at home, at school, at work. They may just mean making different, and better, choices.

But some issues range beyond the personal. They require change at a community, provincial or national level. For example, they may involve educating decision-makers about needed shifts in policy. In such cases, it makes a lot of sense to join with others, to work together and to raise a stronger voice for change.

Local Organizations

Across Manitoba, there are hundreds of local organizations that involve the efforts of thousands of people working to make their communities better places to live. If you are looking for a specific group or agency, we recommending entering the relevant terms in an internet search. The following are umbrella associations, networks, and lists of organizations.
